Body Contouring

Body Contouring | Mommy Makeovers | Panama CityMajor weight loss achieved through either natural means or bariatric surgery is a great accomplishment that allows patients to significantly improve their appearance and overall quality of life, while also reducing the risk of weight-related health conditions.

After large amounts of weight loss, many patients are left with loose, hanging skin that has been stretched out by the excess weight and does not conform to the body's new contours. There may also be one or more problem areas that has not responded well to weight loss methods and still contains localized areas of stubborn fat.

Many patients seek body contouring procedures to complete the weight loss process and achieve a smooth, toned appearance that they will be proud to show off. Body contouring procedures often target problem areas such as the:

  • Abdomen
  • Buttocks
  • Thighs
  • Breasts
  • Arms
  • Face

Multiple procedures may be needed in order to achieve desired results and to reduce the trauma of treating several different body areas at once. Dr. Kelley will develop a personalized treatment plan for you based on your individual needs and goals for surgery.

Body contouring procedures are generally considered safe, especially when performed by an experienced surgeon. It is important for patients to be in good overall health, at a stable weight and to maintain realistic expectations for surgery. These procedures cannot serve as a means for significant weight loss, but instead reduce the appearance of loose, sagging skin for a smoother body contour.

Mommy Makeovers

Motherhood can be one of the most rewarding experiences in a woman's life. Watching your children grow and nurturing them each step of the way is a fascinating journey, but also a tough one. Being a mom often means completely devoting yourself to your family to ensure their health and happiness at all times. But moms can sometimes devote themselves so completely that they may lose their own identities and feelings of self-importance.

There's no denying that motherhood takes its toll on our bodies. From the lingering effects of childbirth to the stress and worry we put on it each day, a woman's body changes as she matures into motherhood. But there's no reason why we can't restore our bodies back to how they were before children. Cosmetic procedures are safer and easier than ever before, and even designed to improve upon the natural changes of a mother's body.

Mommy Makeovers are specially designed cosmetic procedures for the abdomen and breast that can help you feel youthful and renewed after maternity, without long and painful recovery times. We know that family comes first, but it's important for mommies to feel as good about themselves as they do about their growing families. Our procedures will fit into your schedule and your budget, but will leave you with a new outlook that will reflect in even the smallest of your motherly duties. A Mommy Makeover is a simple step that can help you and your family feel so much more confident about each exciting and challenging day. Call today for a consultation.

Spider Vein Treatments

Spider Vein Treatments Panama CitySpider Vein Treatments (Sclerotherapy) is a procedure used to treat spider veins by injecting a solution into the veins which causes them to gradually disappear. By injecting a salt solution, known as a sclerosing solution, the lining of the veins become irritated and eventually turns into scar tissue that then fades away. This method is the preferred treatment for spider veins and has been used since the 1930s.

This procedure is usually performed in Dr. Kelley's office and takes no more than an hour. Most patients need 2 to 4 treatments in order to achieve desired results. There is no downtime other than avoiding strenuous activities for the first 2 to 3 days.

While sclerotherapy (Spider Vein Treatments) is proven as an effective treatment for spider veins, it is not recommended for everybody. Pregnant women and those whose saphenous veins are affected are not typically eligible for this procedure. Sclerotherapy is not effective for large varicose veins and is only recommended for smaller, superficial veins. Talk to Dr. Kelley to find out if sclerotherapy is right for you.
